More than 200 people donned Santa suits, Grinch costumes, “ugly” Christmas sweaters and other colorful attire to run the annual Santa Cause 5K, which was held Saturday morning on the Pomeroy Trail near Olan Thomas Park. The race raised money for the Friends of Fusion Foundation. During the after-party at Klondike Kate's, the foundation presented a $9,800 donation to the Delaware KIDS Fund to buy coats for children in need. Participants were also encouraged to bring donations for the Newark Area Welfare Committee's holiday food drive.
