In Guatemala we spend several months volunteering at different projects;
We built an Earthship in Comalapa with the Long Way Home project, a bamboo roof at Lake Atitlan for project Ulew and bicycle machines for Maya Pedal.

Bamboo Project ICTA

We’ve had the opportunity to stop in at ICTA, a project initiated by the Taiwanese government that aims to stimulate the cultivation and practical uses of bamboo..
They have an extensive nursery, lots of furniture and buildings made out of bamboo, and it is possible to do an on-site internship -which is a bit expensive, but they also do workshops which are more affordable.
