Bicycle repairs and downtime

We have traveled from the coast to Williamette Vallley in Oregon, and now we are almost in Portland!
We’re excited about exploring Portland, as it has been voted the no.1 bicycle friendly city in the USA!!

The past week we’ve been repairing our bikes and enjoying the hospitality of friendly folks along the way via www.warmshowers.org

Thank you, Grandma Kate, Katie, and Dick & Kathy!

Fermentation workshops

The past months we’ve facilitated a number of workshops on fermentation, which have been full of fun, learning and delicious foods and drinks.

Below some images of the workshops at ‘Funky Manza Pizza’ restaurant and wellness centre ‘Tierra de Suenos’ in Costa Rica.

We crossed the Panama Canal

We had the opportunity to cross the Panama Canal as line handlers of yacht Zayda with our Australian friend Michael.

First we cycled north along the canal to Colon and the Costa Abajo, where we explored some amazing flora and fauna along the beautiful coastline.

We loaded our bicycles on yacht Zayda and moved through 3 different locks, and traveled 80 kilometers south along the canal, back to Panama City.
